Reena Choudhary

Counsel

Reena Choudhary is a Counsel at Cardinals with about 15 years of experience in corporate and commercial law, arbitration, and civil litigation. She is an Advocate-on-Record with the Supreme Court of India and serves as counsel in high-stakes disputes and advises clients on complex legal matters, including corporate governance, securities law, and cross-border transactions.

She is an expert in contractual disputes arising out of commercial contracts, inter se shareholders’ disputes, investment related exit disputes, insolvency proceedings, and domestic and international arbitration. Over the years, she has regularly advised and represented leading industrial conglomerates; major state undertakings in oil and gas; Indian as well as foreign public enterprises in the power sector, construction and infrastructure development; banks and financial institutions in contractual disputes, shareholder litigation, and insolvency matters.

Apart from discharging the role of a litigator, Reena has also provided corporate legal advisory to various of her clients, including blockchain, fintech, and ed-tech startups, and multinational companies in setting up business operations in India and dealing in the Indian securities market. Earlier in her career, she was part of the dispute resolution team at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co., Delhi (one of Asia’s largest law firms) where she managed a diverse portfolio of corporate disputes and arbitration cases. Her foundational training included clerking for the Honorable Chief Justice (Retd.) of India R.M. Lodha at the Supreme Court of India.
